Trekking Mount Rinjani is possibly the most spectacular high country scenery in South East Asia. You will be treated to a real volcanic spectacle. Imagine a colourful sunset and in front of you is Rinjani’s summit like a shark fin thrusting upwards from the vertical, craggy walls of the crater. Behind you is a panorama of Lombok’s west coast with her coral islands floating in a tranquil sea. |
Visit Tete Batu village located on the front of mount Rinjani where you may see black monkeys which live in mahogany trees. Proceed to Kota Raja (Loyok) in east Lombok where you can see or purchase many kinds of baskets, wallets and bags made of bamboo. On to Beleka, a village famous for its wood carving and plaited rattan basket production. Stop at Tanjung Luar, the fisherman village, to see hundreds or even thousands of traditional boats. On the return journey stop at Narmada holy springs and Lingsar Temple (1714) where three different religions are represented. |
Cruise by an outrigger boat along the beautiful north west coast of Lombok and visit the three small islands; Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air, with their sparkling coral sand beaches and the beautiful marine gardens off shore. Choose from an enormous range of activities, go snorkelling or just relax on the beach. |
